Celebrate pride at a special NO LIGHTS NO LYCRA (NLNL) BALLARAT!

No Lights No Lycra Ballarat is an endorphin-pumping dance party in the dark that brings people together for the pure joy of dancing. We turn the lights off and the music on for one hour so you can move to the beat without judgement.

NLNL aims to be an inclusive space for all people who love to boogie. It is a place to DANCE FOR YOURSELF and completely let go with no one watching. It is a space to dance where you feel safe to express yourself freely and switch off from the outside world, leave words at the door, and lose yourself in the music.

Dress in something you feel comfortable in – maybe with a hint of rainbow – and dance your little heart out to a queer classics playlist to celebrate pride!

To our beautiful LGBTQIA+ dancers and allies, you are always welcome on our dancefloor!

Stay In the Know

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities.

These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years.

As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
