The Beaufort Visitor Information Centre is located close to the Mount Cole State Forest, Mount Buangor State Park, Beaufort Lake and Goldfields Recreation Reserve.

Activities in the area include hiking, camping, boating, fishing, golfing, hang gliding, heritage walks, cafes, art and antique shopping and more.

Events in the surrounding area include the Lake Goldsmith Steam Rally, Beaufort Agricultural Show and the Avoca Races.

The Beaufort Visitor Information Centre is open daily and offers internet access in addition to tourist information.
