CresFest, the amazing roots and folk music festival is coming to Creswick for the fourth time in April 2025.

CresFest is about the joy of live music – playing it, hearing it, watching it, dancing to it, learning it and being inspired by it.

It all happens in one small Victorian town: Creswick, just 15 minutes from Ballarat and 20 minutes from Daylesford.

There will be three days of dance and music in the beautiful heritage town of Creswick.

More than concerts, there will be opportunities to participate through a packed program of workshops including singing, dancing and playing, learning new skills and taking part in the majestic African Extravaganza which takes over the centre of town with Kofi Kunkpe’s ensemble and the Creswick Drummers.

There’s something for everyone: budding performers can enter the IGA Busking Competition; sign up for open mic spots; local players are invited to learn from and perform with visiting professionals; ticket holders and volunteers can join the Festival Choir. Kids have their very own zone for entertainment and workshops.

A huge range of performers, from international stars to local newcomers will deliver the very best musical entertainment over the weekend.

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
