Silversmithing Workshop at the Rare Trades Centre

Learn to bezel set a stone in precious metal with silver smith Rachel Grose.

In this two-day workshop, you will learn to bezel set a round cabochon. You will practice the technique on a ring and have another opportunity to set a stone in a pendant of your own design. A selection of beautiful gemstones ranging from deep blue Lapis Lazuli to clear shimmering Moonstones will be available to choose from.

At the end of the workshop, you can take your unique pieces home to add to your jewellery collection.

Held at Ballarat’s Australian Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades, a world-class facility dedicated to learning and preserving Australia’s rare arts and trades through a series of workshops, masterclasses, events, and residencies.
