DogRock Winery

DogRock Winery is a small family owned and operated winery set among the beautiful Pyrenees ranges. Established in 1999 by Allen and Andrea Hart for the sole purpose of making world class wines, the vineyard and winery are managed exclusively by the family. Both are qualified in their areas of wine-making and viticulture respectively.

The property has seven hectares of vineyards and varieties include Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Tempranillo and Chardonnay. Both the family residence and the winery and cellar door are off grid with many environmental awards given for the way the business is structured and run.

In addition, many wine show trophies and awards are also on display at the new cellar door and the business was recently given the 2016 Gourmet Traveller Wine Best Small Cellar Door award for the Pyrenees/Ballarat region. DogRock is also a star Red Star James Halliday winery.

Visitors to cellar door are welcomed by either Allen or Andrea and wine tastings are structured around an organoleptic experience while seated.

World class wine and world class views are a beautiful combination. Visitors are welcomed any time although booking is essential to avoid disappointment.

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
