With over 50 years of innovation and tradition, Mount Avoca is Australia’s most highly awarded organic winery.

Located in the foothills of the Pyrenees ranges in Western Victoria, the unique sense of place that defines Mount Avoca begins in the cool climate organic vineyard where grapes are nurtured and then hand-crafted into extraordinary, trophy-winning wines.

Renowned for its reds, the classic Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are perennial medal winners and the Tempranillo, Lagrein, Reserve Shiraz and Sparkling Shiraz add an extra dimension to an already formidable array.

The Mount Avoca whites – Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier and Sparkling – are defined by a house style that is elegant and refined. Luscious aromas and layers of complexity are combined in elegant full-flavoured wines that are delightfully satisfying on several levels, either on their own or matched with a wide range of cuisines.

Visit the light-filled cellar door, which also features a barbecue, secure playground, picnic areas, and a toasty log fire in winter. Stay a little longer and relax in one of three luxurious eco-lodges set among the olive grove overlooking the organic vineyard and ranges.

Winner of the regions best cellar door, Mount Avoca is always focussed on a relaxed and wonderful visitor experience.

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
