The Shared Table offers a distinctive dining experience where the vibrant flavours of Asia meet the rustic charm of Northern Europe. Owner, Dianne Ray, grew up on a Northern Victorian dairy farm with her Dutch parents, which fostered her deep connection to fresh, seasonal produce. This connection is evident in every dish, as The Shared Table champions local suppliers and producers, working closely with local trades, craftspeople, and farmers to bring the best of regional ingredients to your plate.

The seasonal menu is a celebration of what’s fresh and available, a collaboration between Head Chef Scott Alsop and Dianne, the creative approach blends the bold flavours of Asia with the comforting essence of Northern European cuisine. Through playful preparation, unique combinations, and inventive presentation, each dish offers a new culinary adventure, designed to engage the senses and provoke curiosity.

The community lies at the heart of The Shared Table, with a strong commitment to sustainability and supporting local artisans. Showcasing a passion for preserving and transforming ingredients, reflected in the constant exploration of new flavours, from pickling to baking, ensuring every plate offers a taste of the region at its best.

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
