Ballarat Junior Chess Club September School Holiday Program

Enjoy three days of chess, games, challenges and coaching during the September school holidays in Ballarat.

The Ballarat Junior Chess Club September School Holiday Program welcomes children and teenagers of all playing levels, from complete beginners through to experienced tournament players.

Participants will enjoy expert chess coaching, puzzles, strategy and calculation activities, tournament-style games, chess challenges and fun group activities in a welcoming environment.

The program is led by FIDE Master Simon Rutherford and experienced junior chess coach Scott Stewart. Whether discovering chess for the first time or looking to develop competitive skills, young players will have plenty of opportunities to learn, play and make new friends.

The program takes place at the historic Ballaarat Mechanics Institute in central Ballarat, providing a unique school-holiday experience in one of the city's iconic heritage venues.
