Enjoy a slice of Ballarat this August with the return of Ballarat’s Best Pie competition.

Take your pick from more than 35 savoury and sweet pies at some of the city’s top cafes, restaurants and bakeries.

On the menu at Itinerant Spirits is beef cheek, merlot & cheddar pithivier.

"This brings a sophisticated twist to a classic beef pie by using a French-inspired pithivier technique, combining the melt-in-your-mouth tenderness of beef cheek with the depth of merlot and the creamy sharpness of Maffra cheddar, encased in golden, flaky puff pastry," chef Konstantin Putkin said.
