From a Palme d'Or winner to intimate portraits of cultural icons and compelling real-world stories, the 2026 Buninyong Film Festival brings world-class cinema to the beautiful village of Buninyong.

Across two days, our program spans acclaimed Australian features, powerful documentaries and storytelling from around the globe:

Wolfram – A gripping frontier drama exploring survival, power and human resilience in 1930s Central Australia.

Sirāt – An immersive journey that unfolds into a profound exploration of loss, meaning and transformation. A Jury Prize winner at Cannes Film Festival.

Twiggy – A vibrant documentary portrait of icon Twiggy, tracing her rise, cultural impact and enduring influence on style.

Pasa Faho – A heartfelt story about family, identity and tradition, navigating the challenges of preserving culture in a changing world.

The Secret Agent – An Oscar-nominated, Brazilian thriller that unravels a world of deception, where every choice carries consequence.

It Was Just An Accident – A compelling, Palme d'Or-winning drama that examines how a single unexpected moment can reshape lives forever.

One to One: John & Yoko – An intimate archival journey into the creative and personal world of John Lennon and Yoko Ono during a pivotal period of the 1970s.
