Christmas is taking over Ballarat's Sturt Street, Bridge Mall, the Ballarat and Visitor Information Centre and the Sturt Street Gardens this December. Come see if you can find all the lovely decorations this festive season.

Come and join the Christmas cheer and pose with Rudolph and his reindeer friends Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Vixen and Blitzen for your best Christmas card photo.

Step into Santa's boots this festive season with Santa's new illuminated photo opportunities. Featuring Santa's body with space for your head, these illuminated cut outs are the perfect way to pose as Santa.

Spanning 9 metres in length and 4.5 metres high, the new Archway of Stars creates the perfect backdrop for your festive photos this Christmas.

The Crystal Star has been designed by local Ballarat artist Zlatko Balazic to illuminate the Sturt Street Gardens in festive lighting.

The newly refurbished Waterloo Stars, nestled at the corner of Sturt and Grenville Street shimmer by day and night.

The Christmas Bauble will shine brightly every night this festive season, so venture over to Town Hall and take your family Christmas photo with the giant bauble.

Step into Santa's Red Telephone Booth at the Ballarat Visitor Information Centre and leave a personalised voice message for Santa.

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
