Located on the Midland Highway just ten minutes from Daylesford and 30 minutes from Ballarat, Maze House has a hedge maze, and old time carnival games dotted throughout the set in a country garden. Open every day over the Melbourne Cup Weekend, it is the perfect way for the whole family to spend time together having fun.

As well as negotiating the maze and completing the maze hunt, on this weekend, their famous wind up horse racing game comes alive. Four of Australia's greatest and most loved race horses, Kingston Town, Winx, Gunsynd and Phar Lap, are raced in this original carnival game.

You can also test your skills with their other old time carnival games like Return bowling, Knock 'em Down target practice, the Amazing Buzz Test and much more.

The maze is set in a beautiful five-acre country garden featuring a creek, vegetable garden, orchard, cutting garden and native habitat. Children will enjoy the garden's country carnival feel and some of the garden attractions are likely to evoke nostalgic memories for adults. There is also an on-site milk bar for the convenience of guests, selling ice creams, cold drinks and coffee.

Bookings are a must.

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
