Reveal invites you to look a little closer.

It's about lifting the lid on what usually goes unnoticed - the hands-on skills, the behind-the-scenes processes, and the makers who turn raw materials into extraordinary things. It shines a spotlight on the craft, the care, and the quiet expertise behind trades that are often overlooked.

But it does not stop there. Reveal also digs into hidden histories and amplifies the voices of researchers who are unearthing stories that deserve to be heard, stories that have long been left in the shadows.

Sip, connect, and discover alongside other curious minds, creatives, and thinkers. Co-hosted by Ballarat's Australian Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades, and the Australian Centre for Gold Rush Collections.

Pecha Kucha is a series created by creatives and thinkers, for creatives and thinkers.

Featuring a carefully curated lineup of practitioners, researchers, and innovators who deeply explore fascinating ideas, this series is designed to leave you inspired.

Derived from the Japanese term meaning chit-chat, Pecha Kucha is a fast-paced, engaging presentation format that inspires, informs, and energises. Each speaker delivers a concise and captivating presentation that ensures no moment is wasted.

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
