Professor Frank Bongiorno AM delivers the inaugural Raffaello Carboni Lecture on the topic, Why multiculturalism is good for democracy.

Professor Bongiorno will discuss cultural diversity in early Victorian democracy, Italian interactions with Australian civic and political life, and conclude with reflections on multiculturalism, social cohesion and the future of Australia's democracy. A Eureka Centre and Ballarat Italian Association Inc. event.
