Colourful, inspiring artworks to see at Beaufort Art Trax.

Three Ballarat Society of Artists members have combined forces to create an exhibition at the Beaufort Art Trax. Maree Heap, Susanne Graham and Susan Clarke have collated art that is based on the natural form and incorporates work in paint, pen and print.

There will be something for all in this varied exhibition, with colour and black and white showing the individual styles of each of the artists. Maree works with acrylic paints and explores memories of gardens of the past. Susanne paints with pattern using pen in fine detail to delve into nature. Susan creates with various printmaking techniques - collagraph, drypoint, lino print and uses mixed media. Over 100 artworks, unframed, cards and merchandise to see.

There is a train and bus to Beaufort and it is not that far from Ballarat when heading towards Ararat. Make it a day out and enjoy the local food and the local art.

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities. These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years. As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
